Welcome

A note from the founder:โ€‹

Hello. Thank you for visiting. Your visit is

important to me as the work of teaching tools

and techniques to help navigate life’s challenges is near and dear to my heart. Let me tell you a little about that.

Safe Harbor began in the mind of a teacher. After teaching music for about 10 years in the public education system, I discovered the connection between the arts and yoga. Both teach how to persevere through challenges, navigate emotions, and expand world views through compassion, empathy and kindness.

This made the switch from teaching in the public education system to becoming an employee who worked remotely in schools and mental health facilities a seamless transition. In that work, I discovered personal and professional growth and realized that if I had this knowledge as a young student, I may have been able to make better choices as I navigated life.

And so, the dream continues through teaching public and private studio classes for adults and children, themed camps or birthday parties, becoming a Licensed Affiliate for Challenge to Change, Inc- my previous employer and training provider - and offering RYT and RYCT trainings as well as Mindful Education in the Schools. This year, I hope to branch out to student athletes who seek advancement in the off season as well as when they perform.

In the future, I hope to also provide yoga therapy sessions for youth and adults alike as they work through some of life’s most difficult times.

May you find peace in the heart, the mind and in each day moving forward,

Kayla Reetz

Safe Harbor Yoga Founder in the micro studio space.
